This event presented an incredible opportunity for our school students to connect with leading scientists, researchers, and teachers to explore a wide range of bioinformatics opportunities.
Basics of Bioinformatics
Raspberry Pi is a powerful tool that can be used in the field of biology and bioinformatics. Its low cost, versatility, and ease of use make it an excellent option for researchers and students who do not have access to expensive computing resources.
The installation of basic bioinformatics tools and access to bioinformatics databases on Raspberry Pi is essential for performing genomics analysis.
Raspberry Pi can be used for NGS analysis and can perform tasks such as sequence alignment, quality control, and variant calling. With the use of Raspberry Pi, genomics analysis has become more accessible and affordable. However, researchers should also be aware of the challenges associated with using Raspberry Pi and ensure that it is suitable for their specific analysis needs.
By utilizing Raspberry Pi, researchers can take advantage of its portability and affordability to perform genomics analysis in various settings, making it an excellent tool for the field of biology and bioinformatics.
Note: Students were given Participation Certificates.
Theme: Innovate. Create. Automate.
Venue: ATL LAB, Rabea Girls’ Public School
The AI Community Fest 2025 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Rabea Girls’ Public School. The event, themed "Innovate. Create. Automate.", took place on 20th December 2025. The fest focused on connecting Artificial Intelligence with science, biology, and real-world applications through workshops and demonstrations.
The program began with a warm welcome extended to all dignitaries, teachers, students, and guests. The host greeted the gathering with a heartfelt message, expressing pride in hosting an event that transformed the school into a vibrant hub of innovation where young minds explored the powerful connection between Artificial Intelligence, science, biology, and real-world applications.
To mark the auspicious beginning of the fest, the program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The soulful recitation created an atmosphere of peace and reflection. This was followed by the translation, which highlighted the importance of knowledge, wisdom, and guidance—values that align strongly with the spirit of learning and innovation celebrated during the fest.
The formal welcome emphasized the theme of the event, underscoring the role of Artificial Intelligence in empowering students to think intelligently, innovate responsibly, and act ethically as future leaders. The audience was briefed about the objectives of the fest, which aimed to provide hands-on exposure, interactive workshops, and live demonstrations showcasing how AI supports research, healthcare, and technological advancement.
The objectives of the AI Community Fest were to provide students with hands-on exposure to Artificial Intelligence in research, healthcare, and technology through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions.
Participating Schools:
The fest featured a wide range of hands-on activities and demonstrations that encouraged creativity, scientific thinking, and teamwork among students.
The event successfully promoted innovation, collaboration, scientific temperament, and teamwork while providing students with practical exposure to emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence.
A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) under the NITI Aayog Field Investigation was successfully conducted in the school on 30 January 2026. The session aimed to gather in-depth insights into the school ecosystem and stakeholders' perspectives.
Students of Classes IX and XI participated in the FGD along with three parents, the Head of School, Ms. Kulssom Zehera, and three teachers— Dr. Zeba Ayaz, Ms. Sayyeda Quanita Fatima, and Ms. Ilma Khan.
The discussion was facilitated in the presence of the Resource Persons, Ms. Vineeta Arora and Ms. Nandani Khurana.
In addition to the Focus Group Discussion, students of Class VI actively participated in a creative drawing activity where they were asked to illustrate their vision of a Dream School.
The activity provided valuable insights into students' aspirations and perceptions of an ideal learning environment. Students expressed their ideas creatively through drawings that reflected innovation, inclusiveness, technology-enabled classrooms, green campuses, and joyful learning spaces.
The session was highly interactive and enriching, enabling participants to openly share their views and experiences while contributing valuable suggestions for strengthening the educational ecosystem.
